What do I bring to the conference?

Bring your own linens/blankets or sleeping bag and pillow, and your own toiletries (towel, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc.). Don’t forget your Bible and notebook, and bring your New Bible Dictionary if you have one. Colored pens or pencils would also be great to bring for scripture study, although we’ll be supplying these. You’ll want seasonal clothing (autumn in this part of the country can be warm and mild, chilly and wet, and even snowy at times).

What do I do during free time?

At Heartland Conference Retreat Center, there is plenty of space to walk, jog, play sports, sit quietly, play music and sing, a mountain bike trail, among other things. Bring any “tools of the trade” for your enjoyment. Basketball courts are available – bring your own balls. There is also foosball, ping-pong and pool (billiards) with equipment supplied.

Friday and Saturday night there is a fire pit available for use. Please let the Conference Coordinator know prior to arrival if you’d like to have a bonfire (by Wednesday please, first-come-first-served). Also, you MUST either bring your own firewood, or you can pay $20 to have it supplied by the facility (let me know which you choose). Please follow strict safety precautions.
